Dear Kevin O'Connor :

It has become abundantly clear that the Jazz do not need Carlos Boozer. He is nothing more than a sponge, soaking up more than his share of salary cap space. Over the last 15 games, we have seen Paul Millsap step into the starting role, and he has proven he is ready. No one on the team works harder than Millsap. It would be foolish to let Millsap go in order to keep Boozer around.

Since the Jazz have opted out of Morris Almond's contract at the end of the season, I propose the following trade:

I have come to realize that what the Jazz lack is a defensive presence in the paint. Millsap is doing a good job, but his size limits his effectiveness against some of the league's premiere centers (O'Neal, Gasol, etc.). Bosh could be the answer. I think this trade equally benefits both teams, and will give the Jazz the spark they need to make a run at the championship.

Sincerely,
Me

dear vince,

that was a very nice letter.

chris bosh is a funny guy. plus, he's tall. and looks goofy. but if he can be a good defensive presence in the paint, lets get him!

love,
mary

That's a good idea, it's too bad they won't do something like that. I was looking at other possible scenarios for trades and there really aren't any guys out there who make Boozer's salary and/or are any good at his position. There are some really crappy players who make a lot of money. It's a joke. I could see why Boozer would want more money when you look at some of those salaries.

It looks like the Heat are trying to trade Shawn Marion and if they don't they won't re-sign him. That opens up around $14 million for Boozer. It's looking more and more to me like he's going to split.

Merry Christmas and take care.
